I need help with snacks as I'm running out of ideas of what to eat especially the protein part. My problem is, I do not like yogurt, cottage cheese, ricotta and Greek yogurt. I will eat low fat cheese, laughing cow wedges and peanut butter. Can I eat those canned sardines in tomato sauce? I eat tuna and salmon as well. What about liverwurst or canned corned beef?

Thanks

sardines are fine. Try Baby bel, roasted chick peas, hummus, protein bars. I would probably find liverwurst too fatty and definitely could not tolerate canned corned beef.

Thanks for the tips. I'll try hummus again as I didn't like it before surgery.

Try Roasted red Pepper Hummus.  I didn't like it before surgery but this one I like.  I use the one made by Summerfresh.  70 calories for a tablespoon. Or if you prefer something spicier get the Spicy Chili Hummus. Be same calories. I usually take one tablespoon and spread it over Melba toast.   Or you can use it to put in celery

I just found turkey pepperettes at the grocery store in single serve packages.  7 grams of protein each and 2.5 grams of fat.  Also, if you are close to the border, I found a low fat cheese snack which is actually hard cheese and not soft so it's good.  Sobers has a skim milk cheese with only 1 gram of fat and 6 grams of protein( I think) bought it yesterday but haven't tried it yet.

i would love to find a good protein bar but not sure what I should be looking for fat, carb, and protein wise
