Newie Thought
Hi, I am in the full fluid phase and just purchased some baby food and found it tastes terrible. I mostly bought the fruit flavours.

you have to read the labels VERY carefully, most baby foods are packed with sugar !! Theres an organic brand, its a green pouch, with a twisty top, pricey but yummy! It's pretty much the only brand ive found that doesn't have crazy amounts of sugar. In all seriousness, maybe use it as a treat but theres 100 better ways of eating.
When I had my surgery many years ago, someone told me to buy it. I bought a whack.
When i I tried to eat it, I found it gross. It was much more pleasant to magic bullet real foods than it was to eat that crap out of a jar.
I donated it all to a food bank.

Feeding a toddler I know most baby foods are heavy on the sugar, its like pears and carrots, but mostly pears, etc. And Dawn's right, simply cooking up some veggies and pureeing them yourself tastes much better and you know its good for you. Much better than the bottled stuff. Some of the PC Blue Label soups are pretty good, recommend you look at them as well.
I start purees tomorrow and I loooove baby food. I'm gonna use it for veggies and pureed meat. I use heinz and I have never seen sugar as an ingredient with meats/veggies. Fruits yes, but veggies are fine. Cannot wait for my poached egg tomorrow. I'm sick I know....but I also looove pablum! Hahaha ...there is tonnes of good stuff in there! Just make sure to get the plain oats as some have sugar in them.
i guess my baby and I will be sharing meals for the next 2 weeks!!
