My legs are longer? I don't think i've heard anyone say that to me!! LOL. I"m not even 5'2, and most 11 year olds are bigger than me. My mom said to me yesterday that i'm small and mighty. That I like!

I will join the Around the Bay. I do run continuous though, I find it very difficult to stop...I feel the pain in my thighs and it's hard to start up again. Every runner is different, from what I hear. Even the pace bunnies are either continuous or 10:1. The 4:10 pace bunnies kept stopping, but then catching up to me again, and then they passed me (4:10, in a corral that started behind me LOL).

Anyhow, we can meet up before and after for sure!! My honey is just starting to take up running, i'm so proud of him. He said he'll race with me....but not really WITH me LOL. Do you run with people? I feel like a snob, but I tried running with the Running Room a few times, and they are way too chatty for me. I get into my zone, and off i go. I met up with people yesterday before the race, and none of us them finished together (they were doing the half). But i'll be there Barb, we will meet and cheer each other on!! Yay!

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Yes you have longer legs than me. I have no legs to speak of. I do continuous runs for short distance but 12 to 1 for the longer distance. I do not trust most pace bunnies. I have got screwed twice by them. I will never follow them again.  I run once a week with a very small group and when I train for around the bay i start out with a group but they are all so much faster than I so i end up running alone. I sometimes question why i even worry about meeting up with them. I am use to running alone for the long distance does not bother me. Last year on the race i met a girl who was my pace and doing 10 and 1 and I was doing 10 and 1 and we ran together. It was nice because we got each other to the finish line. I was less than 1k when I wanted to say I am done and she would not let me. I could not walk on my one leg and how i ran on it i never know. cross the finish line and they had to get the wheelchair.  For around the Bay do lots of hill running. this is one of the most challenging courses out there they say. The nice thing about this race you finish in cops coliseum so you can watch and cheer where it is nice and warm. Take time to rest and heal before you start running again
