So Sept 10th is my day to join the bench, tommorow at HRRH with Dr Hagen my life changes.

Just wanted to say thanks to the community here at OH, without you i would not have the knowledge , support or strength to proceed.

I'm 258.4 lbs this morning from a all time high of 280 and down 15 pounds on two weeks of pre op diet(Thanks choc opti i will miss you!)

break a leg Kb, I totally understand the fear/excitement, I'm there just anticipating starting opti on October. Dr. Hagen will also be my surgeon, he is a skilled and kind man.

Dr Hagan is my doc also.. I haven't had my date yet. But I have faith in his skill and talent.

Thx for the continued support, looking back it seems like time went quickly,. Considering my orig referral went in Feb 2011! Hard to believe it's been 2.5 years

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Wow Kb, you've done amazing to get down to 258.4lbs.

I was scared too, but that's only normal.
