Scale is not moving!
I hear this so often, and I want to share with you something that i'm experiencing, and just how important measuring can be.
I never took measurements. I wish I did. Even at goal, I wish I did.
I am 2.5 years post RNY, and I have been training for a marathon. I'm not surprised that the scale hasn't budged an inch. And, much to my own shock, I am not upset by it. I like where I am. I used to weigh daily, and now I weigh once a week. This feels good for me.
Anyhow, my kid's caregiver told me yesterday that she can't believe how much weight i've lost since I started running a lot more. I said that was funny because the scale is the same. So I figured I looked the same.
Well I put on my fall/spring coat this morning (it's still summer!! boooo) and it is MUCH looser than it was in the spring.
Lesson learned. Just because the scale doesn't change....doesn't mean our bodies don't. :-) This goes for a stall at any point on your journey.

I totally agree. I have taken measurements pre-op and so far once per month and that is more interesting to me!! I love the inches sometimes more than the lbs!!
