Evening all,

Quick question for fellow Dr Hagen patients, how much off work did he proscribe post op? My surgery is Sept 10th and i'm just trying to let the military how much time I can expect off(lol the more the better :P)

Thanks again

Hi, I'm having surgery with Dr. Hagen on Sept. 5th.  I've heard different amounts of time.  But roughly 3-6 weeks I would think.

I'm hoping to be back to work in 3 weeks.

Hi, it will depend on how quick you heal of course. I have a desk job and thought 2 weeks. But i had a little extra done during surgery ( revision ).So i ended up taking 4 weeks...Everyone is different , but make sure you give yourself enough time. ..Good luck Krista..kiss

Good suggestion Krista, I'm also having revision so may need that extra week.

It all depends on the physicality of your job.  I am a nurse and have already been told probably 8 weeks due to the lifting that we do.  Even though we only have visible "stab wounds" the docs are doing a whole lot of work inside and it does take 6-8 weeks for incisions to really heal up inside

For your job.. Take the 6 weeks. Don't play with it by chancing it.
Give your self a chance to heal and adjust.

I have a desk job that is high stress and can call for alot of running around on some days and home visits in the community . I'm gonna try to take the max he will give. 7 weeks would be awesome
