I was totally fine with them until about 3 days ago. So, what's up with that? and any suggestions? I am still only eating 2tbsp at a time and waiting 15 mins before eating more. I would be eating all day. All of my protein shakes turn my "stomach" . What should I do?

do you make your own or are you talking the premade stuff?  I have not, since surgery been able to drink any premade protein shakes.  They are sickeningly sweet to me!  I make my own smoothies, to this day, almost 14 months out.

Well the premade is so gross but I have made my own and was able to get it down for the most part. What do you put in yours when you make them??

.5 cup unsweetened soy milk, .5 cup 0% greek yogurt, 1 scoop promasil vanilla soft serve protein powder, .5 cup whatever fruit is on hand.  blend.  sometimes I add a half dozen ice cubes to make it more of a treat.

I had such a hard time with shakes that I switched to bars as soon as I could (which was around 4 weeks for me).

At this point, I usually get all of my protein from food. I only eat half a bar every few days now, for protein. I use the Premier bars from Costco.

I love the Premier Protein ready-to-drink shakes from Costco.  If you find them too sweet, add it to a decaf coffee.  No sweetner, nor cream needed.  Instant Cafe Mocha taste.  I used the same combo with Chocolate Optifast for the first 5 days.  Then I got used to the taste and no longer needed the decaf to cut the sweetness.

Do yourself a favour - check its food labelling.

You may find that the sugar ALCOHOLS are high (but not the sugar).

I know that's what made me dump - big time.

Anything down by the sugar listing, that ends in "..ol" is likely a sugar alcohol - a lot of us can't tolerate them.

Try a different kind. I am never going to be free of protein shakes - just can't eat enough protein. I have been trying out new ones every time I run out,

Yup, I know that feeling...when you can't even LOOK at another sweet protein shake anymore LOL

I've been mixing flavor free protein powder in low fat cream soups, mashed potatoes, cream of wheat cereal, poached egg ....almost anything as long as its mixed in real well!
