Question for fellow Kingston patients. Anyone tranferred to HRRH
Morning all,
quick question regarding the timeframe from file transfer to next appointment? The Kingston regional bariatric Centre reviewed my file last Thursday May 2nd and they told me i'm ready for surgery and would be forwarding my file on to HRRH(My choice as i'm military and I'm posted this July to CFB Borden(Barrie) ) I'm wondering how long should i expect to hear from Humber? Did the 'process" speed up or slow down for you once the file left Kingston?
Any advice or personal experience would be great , I've been struggling waiting for progress(ran into some trouble with my Kidney that 4 tests last is finally sorted out) seems i'm starting to see the light at the end of tunnel!

Ditto what Deb said, we had surgery the same day. It took them 3 weeks to sent my file from kingston to hrrh. But i called to make sure they had my file and booked me an appt , ironically the same day as Deb. So I think it was 2 months from transfer to surgery. I know it seemed to move very quickly after the transfer.

My file was sent to HRRH dec 15 and dec 20 they called me with a meet the surgeon appt of jan 2 and surgery was feb 11th ( could have had surgery jan 29 but I had a pre booked trip to Vancouver the week prior to surgery)......once they send your file it will be super fast, surgery is just around the corner for you :)

I would suggest prebooking your appointment with Dr Glazier. Hes normally ok with squeezing people in if they can, but you wouldnt wanna have to make a whole other trip!
