Back from the cruise!!

Good morning all and back to reality for me!! The cruise was amazing! Simply amazing! Gained four pounds, even with the exercise I did! I made mostly good choices. Had more carbs in one week than in the past two years  interesting how ahem regular it made me. Still not an excuse to up the old carbs back here on dry land.   I was very pleased with the sugar-free options they had on the ship! Even their cupcake shop had sugar and gluten free options.   Today is a day of rest for me. Lots of walking, then sitting on an airplane and then walking again to our connecting flight. We barely took the elevators on ship. I ran two days and did weights.   But my biggest NSV was doing the inaugural Flywheel class on the Oasis. Flywheel is the next big thing in spinning in the US. It's competitive spinning and you are hooked up to a computer and you see how everyone is doing on the main screens at the front. You get a score at the end and try to beat your own score. I am proud to say that I won once out of the three times I did the class. I got a t-shirt and a bag. Woohoo! I was so excited i screamed. I competed beside a woman who has been spinning for 20 years. I told her there was no way I could even finish the class two years ago. I dragged Ross with me and about 10 minutes in he looked at me and said, "I hate you" lol. But he did a second class :)   We went parasailing, scuba diving, rented a scooter an drive around Cozumel. I wore a bikini and relaxed. Yes, I relaxed too much with food and gained, but I feel that I deserved the time off and I didn't go crazy at all. Lots of sodium and fat, but lots of fruit and veggie options s too. We ate in the Solarium often, which is the "healthy" buffet. They has turkey sausages and bacon and yogurt etc., and salads with lean protein options. It was nice to not obsess in the food as I have in the past and had way more fun dancing at night, going to shows, doing karaoke and just having a fun and romantic time.   Pics are in my album (even a bikini shot) and I can't seem to copy and paste them into this message from my phone. Oh well! If they Do show up In here then I figured it out :)

You look fantastic. I just had surgery this past week and can only hope to look even slightly this good.  Great job.

Oh, I am so jealous!  I went on Oasis two years ago when she was an infant, and it is by far the most spectacular ship I have ever been on.  My favourite place to eat was the Park Cafe in Central Park - I can still taste that fresh, made-to-order salad and most wonderful beef on an onion bun!  I'm so glad you had a wonderful time - I think everyone should sail the megaships at least once!  Oh, and don't worry about the 4 pounds.  I'm sure it's caused by the salt in the air and has nothing to do with what you consumed. (Works for me!)

Which, in itself, is a huge NSV for me. Never before would I get up and think, "hmm maybe I'll go for a run" on a trip. But it energized me an got me goin for the day!
