You can do it!! My run was slow, but I did it. Going to look into starting my training again.
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
I did my 25 mins, but it was slow! The next few weeks are a build up to running 30 mins, and then I'll focus on speeding up before my 5K in May.

Morning everyone! I had a nice little sleep-in this morning. Normally even on weekends I wake up early (before 8) but this morning I slept in until 9. Felt great! Enough to make me feel like it's the weekend, but not so much that I slept my day away.
I'm planning to go to Seedy Saturday at the Evergreen Brick Works today. And...I'm hoping to walk there! I google mapped it, and I see that it's 3.7 km one way, which according to Google should take about 45 minutes to walk. I'm a little nervous about that, but I think it will be fun, so I'm going to try. And I can always take public transit back from it if I find I'm too exhausted to walk back after that. But I think I should be okay. I'll bring water and provisions. :)
So...food for today...stuff I can pack and transport easily. :)
4 MONTHS POST-RNY
B - Premier Protein shake (drinking it now)
S - 1/2 cup of grapes, 1 oz French brie with truffles (this tiny wheel lasts a long time when you eat 1 oz at a time!)
L - 2 pickled eggs on 4 pieces of melba toast
S - 1 oz roasted chick peas
D - Good question - I'll have to think of something! Haven't quite figured that out yet. Maybe I'll pick up some sort of meat thing and cook it tonight. Or look at everyone else's suppers for inspiration. ;)
S - 1 glass of skim milk
TOTALS WITHOUT SUPPER: 64g protein, 27g fat, 50 net carbs, 714 calories.
So I'll have to make sure I have a supper that has at least 20g or so of protein in it. :)
