Thanks for posting this kelly. I'm still new on this journey and was just thinking about this topic a day ago. I've been overweight my entire life, born at 10lbs (my poor mother!) and upward from there.

I have no frame of reference for a "thin" me. It's scary but also exciting because I will truly have a new life in many ways. There's also that little fear of losing a "crutch" - it's so easy to use weight as an excuse for not doing something or justifying unhappiness, post-op there won't be any excuses.

No excuses indeed!! It's funny when I have tried to be lazy about cleaning or something, and I ended up doing more.

I certainly don't consider myself a vet but I am have lost 226 pounds so far in just over a year and nope I didn't believe it would ever be possible!  I kept setting these goals..."oh I'll be happy if I get to 250" and then when I got there it was liek...well maybe I can be 199...once I got there I was like...WELL let's shoot for a healthy BMI!  I still find it hard to believe every day!!
