I am only 5 months out so I know I shouldn't say anything BUT I do work 12 hour shifts and it's HARD already not to stuff my face like I used to.

I drink alot alot of tea.  To keep my mouth busy and my pouch hydrated. (Chai, chocolate chai, vanilla rooibos)  Boredom creeps in fast, especially overnight.  I also get up and walk as much as I can, however that's not always possible in my job.

Can you take your lunch and do the stairs or gym or walk ?  We get 90 mins for lunch so I often go for a walk or do the stairs at work (the gym is all too often filled with dudes .. yea no thanks).

Good luck !  12 hours on my butt hurts, so I feel your pain !

When the weather gets nicer I will try to walk to/from..work. I work EARLY to late..blah but I can do it!! I only get 45 mins for lunch. right now Im trying to drink water like mad!!!!

I wont lie my self esteem is MUCH lower than it was when I was 328lbs..so going the gym is an

internal struggle!!

I need to get over it already! I also am DESPERATE for my plastics!! argh!

Thanks for your support!

If you work 12 hour shifts, on your breaks (and I assume you get more than just a 45 min lunch break), eat healthy foods on those breaks.

Walk... and walk some more

if you're gonna stuff your face lol.. stuff it with healthy foods

and track it.. total pain in the ass but track it

good luck

I try to keep visiting this and another board on a regular basis, it helps keep me connected.  I am at 4 years post-op and the struggle becomes more difficult as we both know our pouch stretches and some of the old habits just easily slip back in.

Start from scratch, keep a diary and start eliminating your trigger food and start moving...find a class, get a buddy, borrow a neighbours dog...just MOVE.

I have gained back between 8-14 lbs...and that's my max..when the waits on the jeans becomes to tight..it's a reminder that elastics are right around the corner.

Try visiting here daily...and see if the obstacles and encouragement that others are sharing doesn't help

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!
