Been a long time since Ive been on here, seems I may need it more now than ever. Im 41/2 years out and seems with a job change
(sitting on my arse for 12 hr shifts) is kicking my ass!!! Ive gained 22lbs back. Its amazing to me how before at 328lbs I didnt feel that 22lbs creep on...but now...NOW I DO..and sadly I sit crap talking myself cause I feel so fat again. Can anyone relate?
I refuse to go back, and Im trying to get the positivity back so I dont give up on myself!! HELP!
P.S. Pre ops...this is a reminder to all of you that your WLS is a tool..and if you dont use it...WHA LAH!!!

Congrats on first identifying the issue now at 22 lbs instead of 100 lbs. Probably at your current size, 10 lbs may mean a difference in one size, so naturally you are feeling it.
Do you track your food, vitamins and fluids? Do you work out regularly (instead of working your buns in the chair for 12 hours)? This is a lifetime commitment to eating well. You can do it. Come here regularly and let us know how you are doing. We are here to cheer you on.
**big hugs**

Hey there! Well...... You're not the only one!!! I am 3.5 years out and ive put on 20lbs. I am now trying to get my crap together and since starting a new regiment on saturday i am down 3 lbs. For me, I think i just got complaisant. I started being able to eat more, so I did. I started snacking on crap (mostly carbs+fat) and drinking wine. I just got used to the skinny new me and forgot how easy it is to gain it back. Like you however, i refuse to go back there!!! So.... I joined a website called spark people where i can track all my food and exercise including protein, fat and carb breakdowns, water intake, etc.... and i am back to the gym (3 times a week to burn atleast 300cals per visit) I also cut out wine and only have a drink on the weekend of vodka. I have a big jug of water in the fridge with chunks of mango and fresh ginger in it (supposed metabolim booster?) and I try to drink about 2L a day. So.............here we go......... If you want a kick you in the ass buddy let me know!!!! lol
I track all my food intake using myfitnesspal.com--it has a very large data base of food so easy to use- I also have a fitbit step and stair tracker which keep[s me moving and accountable to myself and my goal- I am 6 months out but am terrified of weight gain..I still eat from a small bread and butter plate-and am ever mindful of what I put in my mouth--
Good for you to get back on track now before you gain more- stick with this forum for all the support you need- we are here to listen and support!!

Hi there :)
Been there, done that and bought the tshirt with regain. LOL. I'm 6.5 years out and was up 27 lbs at one point, til I gave my head a shake. It is SOOOO easy to get into a state of being really defeated with regain. It really screws up your head big time! I'm just managing to get my head screwed on straight! LOL 11.4 lbs to go!
Most of us long timers, find we need to superboost the protein and really go low carb to lose. You should come and join the facebook group called "bariatric long-timers". There's lots of nice folks who are working on losing after regain or who are still working on getting to goal. There's also a sub-group that's an accountability group as well.

It's not meant for newbies or those still in their losing window.
It's not always the most happiest place on earth. It's more about those dealing with struggles..physical or mental....so that's why it is meant more for long timers. Sometimes when you get to be a long ways out, you need to be with other people who get how life is very different sometimes.
