The stuff I bought says not to put it into excessive heat?????  UGH I was just about to put it in soup.  Do you think EXCESSIVE heat is boiling and it'll be better if I add it at the "drinkable" temperature?

If you blend it into a cream soup (magic bullet) and heat it on the stove slowly to the temperature you are going to eat it at... It works.

Microwave bubbles over every time for me...

Adding to something warm but not hot and blending works...

Adding to something HOT... curdles and chunks you can't blend away.

I found adding my unflavored protein powder to soup was fine, heat, then add and stir well, my brand dissolved well.  Mine didn't act like flour when making gravy (need to dissolve it in cool water before adding it to hot broth).  I used the microwave a lot, and if you add pp before heating means you will have a volcano like a baking soda experiment in elementary school.  If you find yours clumps add it to a bit of cool water, then add that to the soup.

I add protein powder to hot drinks all the time. The trick is to mix it with a bit of something cold first. Add just enough cold water or milk or whatever to just make it into a smooth, runny paste before adding it to your hot liquids or heating it up, but don't boil it. Enjoy!

I used a digital meat thermometer and ensured the soup was not more than 130 degree Fahrenheit before I stirred in the protein powder.  I found that savoury soups hid the taste and smell of the unflavoured protein powder.
