The workers are here! The workers are here! I'm absurdly excited, even though we're dropping a whack of cash today. Oh well, that's what the line of credit is for, right? (...eep...) Finally, the kitchen reno really feels like it's underway!
I'm home this morning to go over everything with the workers, but going to work this afternoon. And of course I forgot to load protein shakes in the fridge - figures. So I guess I won't be having a protein shake today because I can't stand them unless they're really cold. I'm hiding in the living room in my little cubby hole on the couch while one of the workers guts the kitchen. I almost wish I could help - I'd love to take a hatchet to the crappy cabinetry that's in there now!
OH! I forgot to take "before" pictures! Ack! I'm going to go do that now...okay, done. :) I think I'm more excited about the before and after pics of the kitchen than I am of my body!
TODAY'S MENU - ALMOST 3 MONTHS POST-RNY
B - 1.5 cups of skim milk
S - 1 oz dried chick peas
L - Pure Protein Bar
S - 2 light babybels with 1/2 cup of grapes (haven't had much plant life this weekend, missing it!)
D - Probably a chicken souvlaki stick from the Friendly Greek.
S - 2 tbsps of almonds
DAILY TOTALS: Protein 84g, Fat 26g, Carbs 69g (net carbs 61g), 805 calories

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Do you make your dried chick peas or buy them. If so when is your recipe. I bought a can and am ready to it.
Oh heck no, I just buy them by the bag. :) They're sold as snack food in bags, like nuts or chips. They do have a bit of added salt, but I don't care - they're a crunchy thing that has protein and that I can have and digest well.

It has been ages since I have posted on here. I seem to be slipping into old habits and thought it might help to write everything down and have people comment.
B: 1 c coffee(splenda & milk), 1c GY with some blueberries
S: Hummus and 4 pita crackers
L: 1c spinach, mushroom, tomato, sprout, olives, cheese, turkey salad, with dressing
S: 1/2 protein bar
D: lean cuisine.
I'm going to Zumba tonight, so the 1/2 protein will be before that, then dinner afterwards(6:30).
