I have managed to have a bit of Thai food when we ordered it in once during my puree stage.  I ate one of the shrimp from a shrimp dish and it was fine, even though there was some sauce on it (and Thai sauces ain't diet sauce!).

Anyhow, I hope it doesn't react on you the same way when you have leftovers today!   And your lunch sounds droolworthy!

Thanks Ann! I hope I do my dad proud!

Chinese food has a lot of sugar. And liquidy sugar, at that. Liquidy sugar (like in a starbucks latte, or regular greek yogurt) make me sick. I assume chinese food would do the same.

I'm at my ex's right now for my daughter's birthday....using his computer lol.

Hot and sour soup, or egg drop soup might not be too bad...but then you have the liquid-solid thing.

Nice that you and your ex have a good enough relationship Kelly, your children will only benefit. It took my ex husband and I a while to get to that place. Our son is better off as the result. Its fantastic that you two place your children's needs first. :)

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.

Happy New Year, everyone!  Kelly, Happy Birthday to your Daughter!

Last night was pretty good from an eating standpoint.  I had some fruit from the appetizer tray, and then we ended up ordering Indian for dinner.  I had a 1/4 cup of the butter chicken (no rice) and a small piece of garlic naan. I took a glass of champagne for the New Year's toast, but had a very small sip and dumped the rest.  Overall I felt like I was a part of the festivities, without going off track.

Here's today's menu:

RNY, 11 Weeks Post-Op (today!)

B - 1/4 cup greek yogurt, 1/8 cup All Bran Buds, 1/4 cup raspberries, 1 tbsp. protein powder, SF raspberry syrup

S - 1/2 pure protein bar

L - 1/2 can tuna, 1 tbsp. mayo, mustard, 3 pieces whole wheat melba toast

S - Babybell gouda cheese, 1 premier protein shake later on

D - 2 oz. ribs with BBQ sauce (slow cooker),

S - 1 cup SF pudding, 1 tbsp. protein powder

TOTALS - 965 calories, 58g carbs, 35g fat, 111g protein

I also plan to get 45 mins in on the bike, and get all water and vitamins in.

Here's to a wonderful 2013 for all of us!
