When I started on opti-fast I had the trots for the first two weeks, then the opti-clog set in!

I used milk of magnesia and it helped until l got the trots again!  LOL

Good luck on your journey

I used benefibre with EVERY drink - for three weeks.

I pooped 3 times - after supplementing with MOM - once each week.

It was not pretty..... but I got through it.

Good luck.

does anyone think there would be any harm in adding ground flax seed into the OPTI shakes??  I'm just wondering if a more natural way would keep things, ya know....going in the right direction rather than relying on Milk of Mag, etc.?  I mean, I'd do what I'd have to do, but I know post-ops get constipation too so I sure don't want this continuing long term....

I drank an additional 2-3L of water a day and took two metamucil caplets with my shakes and had no issues. Drink lots of water!

Oh Chanelle I am so glad to see your response...lol!!

I have already been drinking tons of water in preparation. Pretty sure that's what's helped me lose 3.5 lbs in the last week (as it sure hasn't been my food intake!).

I plan to continue with lots of water - just concerned this is going to have the opposite effect & give me loose bm's.

sigh- damned if you do, damned if you don't...

just gotta keep my eye on the prize...I WILL get through this...

I'm not good with the measurements Chanelle - but, say in bottles of water (regular sized bottles), how many bottles would you say you drank per day?  I'm currently at about 5 bottles a day, plus a tea, plus the 4 shakes and a couple of times I had a diet pepsi to "celebrate"...lol

First couple days I think I pooped 4 times. Now 7 days in I go once and it's not much.
