Low Sugars lately and getting sick?

As much as i'm desperate to fight it, I feel like i'm getting sick. We've had a bout of the stomach flu go around our house (four kids, our ex's and now my bf Ross****ep saying I won't get it, but I don't feel right today, and haven't for the past few. And for the third day in a row I had a sugar reading of 2.4.

I'm wondering if my sugars go low as my body tries to fight this bug?? Any insight?

Oh yes, I know what to do for my levels. My whole office knows, because they picked me up the floor once. lol. I'm just wondering if getting sick can cause it. Researching now.

I do know anything that causes stress can effect sugar levels, including but not simply anything that kicks your immune system into action.  Vit C, lots of H2O and rest!  Feel better!  kiss

Does Vit C help the stomach flu?

Stomach flu not so much, cold/sinus flu maybe.  Guess I was thinking more cold/flu not stomach flu.  sorry.

Kelly are you eating or drinking less because you aren't feeling well?  Both my sister and niece have hypoglycemia and whenever they get sick they always have low blood sugars.  Last time my niece had a stomach bug, she passed out 3 times and had to be taken to ER as they couldn't get her sugars back up at home.  Nothing is going to help fight the bug but time and rest.

Only today am I eating less. But still drinking lots. Nothing different, food-wise (actually a bit more, but nothing to cause the drop). Christmas Stress and fighting the illness maybe?

When I was diabetic I was told your sugars can drop with illness. It is partly the change in diet and partly your body fighting the bug.
