WTG I do half a mile on the elliptical and it does me in!!! LOL  I then do 30 min on the rebounder-and another quarter mile on the elliptical so I'm working on the stamina- it is much more fun walking outside with the puppies

a rebounder is  a mini trampoline and I use it for walking when I can't get outside-works really well

You can so do this !

I ran the other day at the hospital in the hall and it felt weird.  I am going to work up the courage to start the couch to 5K.

Is that a good program Kelly ? How did you get started ?

The C25K is a great start. I also started with the Running Room, doing their triathlon clinic. I giv ahe kudos to anyone who can run during the weight loss stage. I suppose I did do some running two summers ago, but it was so difficult and I hated it. Even this summer my panni was bothering me too much. Now I have proper gear, and lost a bit more weight, which helps. I just started running and made goals for myself. Then I realized how much I actually like it!!! When I did 10k in the fall, I cried. And I ran the whole time....so happy!!!

Good luck with the program!!

Kelly, that's what I was wondering.  I am still plugging in about 6-800 calories a day and wondered if running vs my usual brisk walk would be too much.

My panni is already bothering me...the other day while with my daughter at the hospital I ran to the bathroom while she was screaming during xrays and it was flapping.  Ugh.  lol Mind you I was wearing jogging pants and my comfy too big underpants.

I am going to look into it and even if it takes me a month to do their week.  Baby steps !

By this stage, I would lean closer to your 800 side, on days you decide to workout more. I did a triathlon at three months out, which is ridiculous....but I felt so good. I passed out at the end. Not enough reserves at that point. I did classes and such until I started running recently....well hang on, I still do classes and i've added running! LOL

Baby steps is right....and exactly what you should be doing.

Amazing!  I can run up the stairs at home.  If I don't mind the heart attack that follows.  It's about 12 steps.  Heh.

So what I'm trying to say is - amazing accomplishment!  Hopefully you'll break that 30 minutes soon!
