Sigh. I miss those days of full on malabsorption. I've been told a few times that's one of the ways you know you aren't malabsorbing anymore...your poop changes. :-)

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

So it is the malabsorption that is going on?  That is interesting.  I don't question the bm's so much as I am so happy that they are regular and 'normal' (as in no pain, etc.)  It amazes me that with the lower caloric diet (500 - 800 cals) that there is enough disgestion going on.  I was also told years ago that it your stool floats in the toilet then you are consuming enough fibre in your diet and that is good ) so a bit more TMI from me.

WOW!  I go like once every 5 -6 days (I don't even feel like I have to go, like no constipation cramps at all), and not much at all, but sometimes it completely empties that is when I do lose about 2 pounds but not often, I used to go everyday....not anymore....

What a funny topic....

I haven't pooped in 4 days and I hope that when I do it will be a double flusher.

I hardly ever poop anymore and now it's like gravel stones.

Jason W.  is it that you have increased your fibre post op?

gravel stones can definitely mean you arent drinking enough fluids..and thats why they are like bunny pellet poops

Drink more.. and when you feel bloated.. drink more again.

All these folks being impacted up to their back teeth quite possibly didn't drink nearly enough water

so drink

I'm 5 months out and have the same thing. I have been really wondering about it. No complaints because at least I'm not constipated but yeesh. That makes sense that it is malabsorption!
