OK... defibrillating the VJJ line had me laughing and it is 5 minutes later and I am still chuckling.

Keep that sense of humour Zmim!!

I'd pay for the surgery if they are defibrillating VJJs!

I went to my Dr a few months ago, and because I am still within child bearing years, had to ask for birth control.  She gave me several options, and I ended up choosing the nuva ring, she told me that if I don't want a period, to have the ring in for the 3 weeks, take it out, and immediately insert another, and you will not get a period.  This also works with the pill, you take the 21 days, then just start a new pack.  The last thing that I want to deal with, when I have surgery, is my period.  I love the nuva ring, wish they had it when I was younger.

Yep, I had mine, and the nurse who did my prep that morning says, "I've left some Victoria's Secrets on the bed".  And they were those mesh undies with a maxipad.  Hilarious!  :)

Just a note, though - you might consider bringing your own long overnight pads with wings.  The ones they give you in the hospital are pretty utilitarian and the one I got wasn't overly great on coverage!

Ya...hospital pads bring back the 'ol riding the COTTON HORSE term from decades ago!
