Need info surgery in states 4.5 yr ago needing a dr in Toronto

Hi there,

I had surgery 4.5 years ago RNY in states at Barix having issues need a dr to go see regarding my issues in Toronto don't know where to go or who to see my family dr is lost not familiar at all with RNY and sent me to drs that can't help me anyone else have surgery in the states and then needed to deal with issues from surgery?
Kinda don't know what to do I'm in bowmanville everyone here is so lost when it comes to RNY.
I have lost all my weight and maintained it but have major belly pain and gas so bad I can't handle it sometimes.

I would think you could get a referal to any of the current bariatric dr's... If I were you if its bad enough go to the ER of a Bariatric hospital,  St. Mikes, Toronto Western hospital, Toronto Eastern hospital, Humber river Regional, St. Joe's hamilton, etc....

Let them know you are a bariatric patient and what your problems are... it should get you in the door to see someone who can help if nothing else.

Thanks so much, that's a great idea I've been to ER in bowmanville, and Ajax they have no clue what to do I will go to one of those you mentioned now I know where to go that's all I needed.

There is also St Joes Health Centre on the Queensway in Toronto that wasnt mentioned

My surgeon is Dr. David Starr and I highly recommend him, Bathurst & Sheppard, 416-749-2332.

major belly pain post rny is nothing to ignore. Please go to an ER that is familiar with Bariatric surgery, and get yourself seen!!!

I get it all the time for months now sometimes I'm ok other times its so bad I can hardly walk feels like labour pain been to ER twice in Durham no help they say its gas and take gas pills and a laxative and send me on my way it's so frustrating.
I feel ok last couple f days but never now when the next attack will be.....I need to see a dr who know what to look for and help me I will be going to Toronto to see someone for sure and when I get another attack like I usually get I will go to ER thank you for you concern and reply I will post again when I see someone.
