Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Kelly that is just fantastic....you are right to be happy...

 

I would love to try running but I am really frightened of hurting my knees/ankles/ hips......and I dont want anything to interfere with my golfing....injury wise

...but I have to say I am jealous of all those who can pound the pavement....great calorie burner and runners always look so lean

You definitely cannot run if you are already injured....that's a no-no. I started our by walking and "testing" my running abilities.

Your comment about runners looking so lean is one of the reasons I wanted to run. They look lean!

Great time of year for running too with the cooler temps and the beautiful change of seasons colours.

Indeed! And I found myself running along the bluffs. And that was beautiful!!

Aww thanks. Yes there were a couple if crazy hills. I put my head down and tackled them!! So cool that I can even attempt that!

So the iron did make a difference!  I'm not low, but maybe if I got an infusion it would make me run, lol?
