I used to be able to talk myself out of things......
But instead of just not going, I went to spinning and thought I would take it easy (it's a class you can do at your own level). 2 minutes in and I was trying to talk myself out of quitting. 5 minutes in, I figured that I could probably finish the class at this easier pace. 10 minutes in I was going hard core.
I used to listen to my own whining and give up, especially at TOM. Today, I didn't. And more often than not, I haven't been. I'm proud of that. just thought i'd share :-)

I too am very skillful at talking myself out of things. Sometimes I think it's such a habit we don't really grasp how much we can enjoy exercise and how good we feel when it's done.
Well done Kelly!!!
I look at it the same way with my running sometimes!!! Just get to the next block, then the next block and so on until I get the whole route done.... small steps are easier to accomplish than huge tasks!! So I break it down!!!
Good for you for sticking with it even during TOM.

Yes, i'm like that on a run too! That's how I ended up running 10k the first time. I was at my cottage, and I thought to myself, "I wonder if I actually could make it into town." Then some negatives telling me no, and I pushed them aside and plugged through. Made me weepy when I was done.

I love the serotonin kick! Sometimes when i'm sluggi**** takes so long and I find i'm watching the time. Other times I can't believe it when the instructor says there's one track left.
