Greek Yogurt - does this happen to you?

I've purchased greek yogurt several times since having surgery and for some reason get grossed out when I'm about to eat it and toss the whole container. Yesterday, while at the grocery store there was a female providing samples of the individual servings of liberte Greek yogurt with fruit on the bottom. I decided to give it a try. After a couple of small licks of the spoon I could tell it certainly didn't have the same texture if the low protein stirred yogurt I was used to but wasn't bad tasting. Within a minute or so of sampling it I became instantly thirsty. I haven't felt thirst like that before. I have had food "intolerances/allergies" before but never with milked based products. Has anyone experienced a similar reaction to Greek yogurt?

I've never heard of that reaction to greek yogurt. I wonder what the sodium content of it is?

greek yogurt does make my mouth feel dry.

If its not something you can tolerate, then eat something else.

the fruit on the bottom stuff will have a crap load of sugar in it.

I definately wouldn't buy the fruit ones, particularly this early out. I just wanted to try out the texture with wasting another five dollars to toss it in the garbage again. I dont get my minimum protein at this point without having two shakes so I was hoping the yogurt would help reduce
Y dependency on them. The thirsty feeling only lasted about 15 minutes or so. I figured I'd use some of the sugar free syrups I have hanging around since my Optifast days.

I can't even begin to imagine eating the Greek Yogurt without something in it!.

I used SF jams, or.. real fruit. Just a bit. Enough to give it flavour. Low carbs fruits like peaches, berries etc taste great in it. I also mix it in with my vanilla creamy Isopure protein.

Stuff is too gross to eat alone.. I'd be pitching it too!

Actually... If they were doing samples I am guessing it was Frouto... Their new one.

It's not perfect but it is not as bad as others...

Blood Orange has:
80cal (for the 100g serving cup), 0 fat, 13g carbs, 11g sugars, 6g protein
http://www.liberte.ca/en/frouto-greek-yogurt-products/greek_ frouto_yogourt_blood_orange.sn

It's OK... Not good. Not bad. I'd feed it to my daughter but I wouldn't consider this a source of "protein" as far as a post op food. Then again she likes the iogo nano's better. *shrug*

Avoid the fruit at the bottom type. They have WAY too much sugar. I suggest plain with some no sugar added jam or some sugar free syrups. I try and aim for no more than 7grams of sugar per serving. Hope this helps?

I don't have an in-tolerances to Greek, the fruit at the morning has too much sugar for me.
So I just do the regular Greek with sf  syrup and raw fruit.
maybe try a different name brand, good luck.
