18 months + pics
So since surgery, I separated, then I dated, then I met the love of my life, and we moved in together. I went from a family of four, then to three, now six! Together we have kids aged 7 (in a few weeks), 8,9 and 11. It's crazy, and we love it.
I bounce up and down with the 5 pounds at the same time each month. It was daunting at first, but now I know it's coming. The day when it doesn't come off at the same time each month is when I will worry. Right now, it's clockwork.
I still want to eat when i'm stressed, and am working with my psychiatrist on cognitive behaviour therapy. In fact, posting on OH is a great part of CBT! Who knew?
I have started running, and ran 10k. I actually like the freedom of running. Just me, my ipod and my shoes! I go to spinning classes, hot yoga and i've tried kettlebells classes.
I applied to have my panni removed, but am not hopeful that I will be approved, as i'm only borderline needing it. I will appeal if I don't, with pictures of my very attractive rashes, and other documented evidence. If I'm not approved then....we will see what happens. It just might not be meant to be.
I had pain a couple of months ago, which led to a scope last week (stomach is perfect) and a cat scan to rule out any twisted hernia's and such. I don't think I have that, and I do think I just get bad gas mixed with heartburn. It was scary, and only happens once in awhile. I'm now thinking that shrimp is not my friend.
Would I do this again? Absolutely! My life has changed so much....and all for the better. Everyone says they can't believe how happy I am. And it's still funny when people don't recognize me. Still happens, and i'm guessing it will happen for the next few years until a smaller me is second hat to people.
Here's the pics of before, and me this summer.
Here's a couple a Peter and Linda's annual BBQ outside of Peterborough
And me and my little Scottish fella!

I am 57 retired and walk with a cane, (the little I can walk). I need at least one hip replacement possibly two. Yesterday I watched my Mom who is 83 doing gardening in our flowerbed and I could not help her. I so look forward to the day I can join her and help her with the heavy stuff.
Your amazing.
