32 Days out of Surgery and Frustrated
Do a search for the phrase 'realistic expectations and you will find several posts with a great chart that sets out exactly what it says. You are right on track and only in danger of failure if you let this stall be the beginning of or the continuation of a habit of being unreasonably or unnecessarily hard on yourself. Your body is in shock from surgery and needs chance to regroup. This is not a sprint to the fini**** is a long distance endurance race. You can expects more stalls than at the stables of the local equestrian park.
Thanks Sher I found a great chart

What chart are you talking about? I couldn't find it and am interested in checking it out....
Also, Heidi...I know how you feel in terms of the numbers on the scale and feeling frustrated and not being able to see how much progress you're really making...I've heard from the clinic that it can take up to 6 months (maybe more) for your brain to catch up to where your body is...and it's SO TRUE!! So you'll have people around you being amazed at how much you're losing and you won't see it...at least not right away. We can feel it in our clothes but we still can't "see" it when we look in the mirror or we can't "feel" it...but it will come...and so far you've done GREAT!! I'm starting to understand how much of a journey this is...instead of a destination. Keep up the great work!

And Heidi, I second that opinion about the scale. Us lightweights have no business being obsessed with the numbers. I see my jeans haning off my butt, I see that I cannot walk witout holding up my old favorite jeans and I am thrilled. I only weigh when I go to the doctors!!!!!!!!! Toss that thing! It is an unnecessary evil for some of us. Just focus on how you feel.
I sent the evil out to my mother's tonight ... that way I can't weigh in until I'm out there

The scale really can make us crazy. I TRY very hard to stay off. I'm a week and a half out of surgery and my initial gain made my nuts.....and very sad. I stayed off the scale for days, got on and presto the weight gain was lost....so in that case it was a positive thing for ME to go on the scale. Don't do it daily. Maybe once a week.
I had my surgery on Aug 27 and I have lost 18 lbs since surgery. It's alot of weight for one month. I'm in a stall right now but I know it is just that and the weight will start to drop. I only get on the scale once a week. I put it away the rest of the time.
Don't worry, you will be dropping the weight in no time
