Lookingforward to the stat. Sine the MS bike ride I seem to be less devoted toexercise. I need a new challenge! Just did gardening. No km just aching bones LOL

The ebiking (I understand why it's out, I did 60 km today) is pretty good. I mean I biked for 3 hours (to work, to tutoring, home - R.Hill to Markham, to Vaughan, to R.Hill) and although the peddling is easy, you are still moving your legs.

*cough* I am no longer constipated.

On my measurements my thighs went down (and hips & waist) but my calves went up (not a preferred result for the black boots fantasy but....)

I had a really great day today, and my mood is so much better and my sleep so much better. So it's something, but not as tough as real biking,

 Haven't replied yet with my amount so I figured I should get on the ball!
Put me down for 15km/week.  I'm hoping once I get back to the gym more often I'll be able to do more than that, but I'll update my distance when I get to that.

What a fun way to get my butt moving. Please add me to a team. I will pledge to walk 40k's a week. Thanks for setting this up.

Is it too late to get in? I'll be biking or walking... Add me in for 10-15K per week, but that will up drastically if I get the job I just interviewed for and start bike communiting into the office three days a week.

Just reading this...can I join too? I jog 5-8 km,3- 4 x's a week row about the same. I lso walk everywhere and am doing the 10 000 step challenge

Yes, you can absolutely join in. I'm just back from vacation today so it may take me a couple of days to assign you a team. Would I be correct if I put you down for 30 Km a week?

I have no clue how much I am walking a week now. I need one of those things to count I guess. I walk the dog often and am going for walks all the time with Jay. I should determine how much I am doing now and push myself beyond that and I am in.....is there local groups or is it all individual? Thanks for the idea!

       

I run  The O.W.L.S. (Ottawa Weight Loss Surgery) Closet. We are a local clothing exchange and social group stemmed off of a couple of the local support boards on Facebook and also OH members for those having had or going to have WLSWe meet monthly for a large clothing exchange and potluck in the East end of Ottawa.

Hi Thea,

I am armed with my fitbit now and would like to join the challenge.  I honestly don't know how much I will be adding - I only walk and do stairs - no running for me.  I will commit to 15 kms a week for now and adjust as needed. 

 

Thanks for keeping up with this.  I know that it has been a hell of a month for you and throw the holidays into the mix, yikes.
