Am I doing something wrong??

I'm driving myself and hubby nuts thinking I'm doing something wrong or something will go wrong with how well I'm doing with exercising(very high energy level), getting in all liquids and protein. I sip my protein shakes (2 - 1cup DYNA protein shakes made with water and ice) through out the day for a total of 60 grams of protein. At my meal and snank times I'm having between 1/2c to 3/4 c of full liquids (as this is the stage I'm at 10 days out). I go by the list of promited foods. I'm so fixated on the one lonely sample menu that TWH provided for this stage. I'm not sure if drinking the shakes all day is good and if I'm having either too much or not enough food at meals. I'm handling all protein, water and food very well. I can tell when I'm full. I just don't want to mes this up.
It just seems like everything is going so well for me and when I hear other's are struggling when they are at same time frame as me or longer post op. I guess I'm just waiting for something to go wrong. I think I will need a straight jacket soon

Take a deep breath.  Or two.  Follow your guidelines.  That's it, that's all.  Don't make it more complicated than it needs to be.  It's good to hear about how others are doing and to share how you're doing, but don't compare the two.  We are all on the same journey, but we are individuals.  The self-fulfilling prophecy is that if you think things will go wrong, they will.  But if you think things will go well, they will.  Be gentle with yourself.

I just think people post more of the issues that they are having in hopes for help and ideas when they are having trouble.  Mostly people that aren't having problems I find you hear less from.  It is nice to hear you are doing so well Heidi and you are showing the pre-ops that it isn't all bad.

Congrats on getting your protein and fluids in.  They are so important to recovery.

I also did not have any issues with my post-surgical life.

Hi Heidi I am pretty new here I am still pre surgery however have gotten loads of help from some good friends. One thing we have been doing in our group of friends is getting a book its called, Weight loss guide and diet program. it's written by Sue Esckserki and Dr Klein. This book is fantastic, not only does it describe the different procedures it also gives you menus of foods and recpies you can have and the different stages of post wls that are appropriate to that food. My friends love this book and one felt so much better after getting it. Best of luck..

You're worried about things because they are going along just fine?

Stop that. Only worry about things when they are going wrong. Not maybe. Live in the moment more.

Remember everything is a guideline because you are unique, so listen to what your body tells you. Get some enjoyment out of the progress and the changes you have made to your lifestyle. You've come a long way and deserve this. So enjoy it.

And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be.

Heidi, same thing happened with me. Everything went spectacularly well for me, i tolerated everything, had lots of energy, and i had zero pain once leaving the hospital.

remember that bad news travels faster than good, and we really only hear from people who are having problems.

try to relax

i thought at first that maybe they just stuck little holes in my belly and really didnt change anything at all inside.
