I was in contact with her this afternoon..she was suppose to be getting discharged..just waiting for the Dr.

I had surgery on Aug 27. Was to be discharged on Aug 29. As I was dressing to leave, my family was there to pick me up I got pale and ended up filling the toilet 4X with blood thanks to rectal bleeding. My hemoglobin dropped to 91 so I was not allowed to leave. They kept me for another day for observation My hbm when up 2 points and let me go home 5 pm on Aug 19. I didn't bleed again.....until I got home.

Then I had another 'episode about 6:30 pm that night and again the next morning (it was less this time). Yup...nothing like a little rectal bleeding to send one running to emerg, which is what I did.

It's old blood from the surgery...or blood from the staples which usually corrects on its own. My hbm was going up so they weren't worried at the emerg. Hasn't happened since.

That's my story.....I hope you are doing better
