Is it true about Ottawa wait times?

Good afternoon,

Just found this site and decided to register.
I was referred to WLC April 2012, Orientation session was May 18th, 2012, visit with nurse and blood work scheduled for October 9th,2012. I was surprised at how fast step 2 was booked ( 4 months). After reading all of the previous posts I now wonder how long of a wait I may be facing now. I look forward to building a rapport with those who are in the same boat as I am, those who have had their surgery as well. I am new to the Ottawa area and could benefit from support groups like this one.

I was reffered in March and had my information session near the end of July this year. They also told me 9-10 months wait time, but I'm getting tempted to call them and find out where I am in the system. I do have severe reflux but I think I've had just about all the tests they can think to give me already.
