I think that's exactly what it means. I understand the surgeons do two operations a day, one in the morning and a second in the afternoon. So you should be up to bat first and back in your room by the afternoon. Best of luck with your up and coming and here's to a speedy recovery.

Heidi...after hearing your horror story about flying home...have youdecided to drive or fly?...just checking since my daughter is gonna have to make those decisions in the spring....good luck and hope all goes well with your surgery.

Good Luck tomorrow. As for being the first one to go for surgery, read on.....when I had my surgery in January they started getting us all ready together.....I changed into my hospital gown, got my stockings on my legs and then I had my IV put in, and then used the washroom.....then when we were all ready(about 20 or so of us), we were all walked down to a room just outside of the OR rooms and our individual doctors or nurses came out to meet us with our support person and then they led us away to our OR rooms, you will walk into the OR room and get on the table yourself and they will get you ready to put you to sleep. It was a great experience, and I had Dr. Aarts and she was amazing, she apparently trained under Dr. Cyriac. All the people that I was with went into surgery for 9am and I was done at 11:45am.
