I have high blood pressure and would like to know what tests they may ask me to have?

They will want to ensure that your high blood pressure is controlled by medication and stable.

So they will take your blood pressure at your visits.

They may want to check your heart by doing an EKG.

I had high blood pressure and other problems before the surgery. I found I got as many doctors as possible to send in referrals. My cardiologist and sleep apnea doctor. I had a scope just prior for another reason so had that sent to them as well. The more medical info they have the less they have to send you for. In the case of high blood pressure thay may just want to know it is under control.

As long as under control there should not be any tests required.
It would be a good idea to track your BP for a while and bring your record with you to your appointment. Many have white coat syndrome which may give you a high BP when they take it.

What Leslie said.  However, if you have a family history of heart issues they may require more investigation after EKG, but maybe not. After my EKG I had to have a stress test then an angiogram, they took about 5 weeks to set up and do, then I was approved.  Enjoy your ride!  Regards, Ian
