Update on me and the pain

Just saw the nurse at TWH and I told her about the pains and such. She reported it to the surgeon and I will be going in for a cat scan and GI. Because I can keep fluids down and I am going to the bathroom I can wait until next week. I went to the bathroom this morning for the first time in three days and I feel pretty good. It could just be severe gas, but perhaps not and I'm glad they are checking me so thoroughly. They are checking for a hernia or ulcer first and foremost. And, of course, if the pain gets severe again, off to emerge I go.

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Glad to hear they're being so conscientious with the follow up on this for you, Kelly.

I'm so glad I live a couple of minutes away from TEGH. Makes me feel so much better knowing I'm this close to where I'm going to have the surgery, so they'll know me if I have any problems.

Thanks everyone! I'm feeling perfectly fine right now. Still going for the tests though. Might as well, to be on the safe side.
