Thanks everyone. I am finding that by eating 6 times a day and a regular cardio/weight routeen 4 times a week has helped.
Protein is my friend. If it doesn't have more than 4g of protein per serving I won't eat it. My vegetables I get from V8 juice. I just have to watch my daily salt allowance.
The best sources of protein is, #1 premeir protein shakes (fast and an easy fix), greek yogurt (can mix it with almost anything, I like strawberries or blueberries). and my favorite is ground turkey (lean, low in fats, high in protein, replaces any other meat easily).
I have lost some muscle mass. I call it fatty muscle mass. I see guys at the gym building size and I just think that was me 20 years ago. Little do they know, they can't stop or it will quickly turn to fatty muscle mass. I believe as I have learned the hard way, leaner muscle is the way to go.
But because I seem to retain more lactic acid now (might be because I am older), it takes longer to recover from weight training. I have to take it slower and focus on getting all the muscle groups in, not just arms and chest.
I do have days when my energy level seems low. I just eat more protein that day and make sure my water is good. It comes and goes. I think it will get better with time.

I'm impressed by your diet and your training regime! congratulations!
I heard some athletes take asperin or tylenol BEFORE they work out, to reduce lactic acid build up, but I don't know if that works.
