One more sleep and I jet off to TWH to meet with Dr. Aarts and get my date for the big day. I have butterflies and a 101 thoughts going through my head. I know she will be asking what I know about the surgery, my head is so fun I can't remember a darn thing lol. I think this will be the long hour and 20 minute plane ride to date.
For those that went through TWH did they give your surgery date right then and there or did you have to go home and wake for a phone call?

Hi Heidi,

Dr. Aarts is wonderful!!!! When I met with her she went over the procedure with me, had me sign my consent and then got me my surgery date. Good luck tomorrow! Can't wait to hear how it went.

VSG on 04/16/12

I didn't have Dr. Aarts, but I did go through TWH. I met with my surgeon (Dr. Rotstein) and then flew back to the Sault. They called the next day with my surgery date.

Best of luck to you Heidi. My journey so far is going great.
We met one time at the hospital;you were with your husband and then you guys walked down to the airport...not sure if you remember though.
I ended up having a VSG, which is the best thing in my life.
