Surgery cancelled at the last minute!!

Sorry to hear I am sure you are disappointed-however try to remember-as someone else said-He had to postpone because of an emergency-be thankful the emergency is not you or yours.

This does not mean you will not have your surgery-it just means it will be a different day.  Again call the center and see what the plan is-what you are to eat-when you might be rebooked.

Before you get too upset make sure you have all the information.

Thank you all for all your support!! I really appreciate it :)....but I'm still fuming!! I'm trying not to think about it anymore and just think that everything happens for a reason...today wasn't my day!! but I'm so upset not only because I didn't have my surgery, but because all the inconveniences the cancellation brougth with it!! My husband had to cancelled his appoitments for today and tomorrow to be with me, my mom coming so suddenly from overseas and cancelling her affairs over there, my neighbour cancelling her child chorus practice to take care of mine, etc, etc, is not only I the affected person but all around me!! I know it is because of an emergency, and this things happen....I guess I just want to vent my frustration......Thanks a lot!! I will let you Know....

Sounds familiar. We found out my hubby's rny was cancelled when we arrived for it and my mom was here for the week to look after our daughter too! He was reschedule in about 4 weeks. We left the hospital and had lunch, he had to re-do his opti fast but for only half the time.
The surgeon was playing hockey the night before and had got injured and couldnt operate was in the icu with a chest tube actually!!
So sorry that happened to you!! Stay strong.

Hurry rescheduling my surgery!!! I can't afford being for
So long out of my job!! I talked to the nurse and dietitian
And both of them told NOT to go back to optifast, to 
Eat healthy regular food !! Anyways, everything happens
For a reason, I guess it wasn't my day today !!

I am sorry to hear you had everything all set for surgery and is was cancelled for an emergency.

The truth is I hope that what ever reason he had to cancel has worked out for the best and everyone involved is ok.  

I do know how you feel, I too was cancelled as well, mind you they called me the day before not 5 min. before I was leaving for the hospital,  hope you get a re-schedule date very soon.
