My Gawd, it's like a bunch of reformed smokers ganging up on someone who hasn't discovered the one true path yet!!!!!! Because this thread reads like the cast of Mean Girls - Robust Version just discovered the power of anonymity and social media. 

Haven't you all endured enough sanctimonious, judgemental comments in your own lives, to be so completely oblivious to the impact of the manner in which you vocalize your judgements? You've managed to ignore or at least trivialize the issue which Lisa raised with the expectation of support and set out on your own agendas of lecturing and and subordinating her concerns to your own.

And if you can't see that driving away an adult member with so mu*****ommon with your own lives is not somehow your fault, then there's no hope for this place that was supposed to be a sanctuary for those of us trying to rebuild a new life.

I have seen a few dieticians at the Ottawa clinic.  They were all very strict and I can not see any of them suggesting this type of food.

I feel bad for the o.p.   If she was following the advice of her clinic,then it's not up to us to judge.I don't think her food choices were the point of her post anyway.While I myself wouldn't bother presenting a wls card to get a discount on food,it's just because I wouldn't want to be put on the spot explaining my situation to a server.
