my daily indulgence is Starbucks Skinny Cinnamon Dulce with a scoop of protein.  I don’t eat breakfast so it’s a great way to begin my day with 24grams of protein and 90% of the time they make it perfectly (without lumps)

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!

I make my coffee at home via Tassimo and then i put 3 - 4 ounces of Premier Nutrition chocolate protein (already mixed) in my coffee.  It is my coffee au late....And, i love it....it gives me my chocolate fix, my protein and much cheaper then Starbucks.

I heard of Click http://drinkclick.com/ which is a coffee protien shake. I see good reviews on Amazon.

I make mine by buzzing 1 cup of skim milk with 5 (small) scoops of unflavoured Beneprotein Powder in a bullet, then pour in 10 oz of decaf coffee.  You could add a sugar free flavoured syrup if you wanted.

It gives me 1/2 litre of liquid to start the day; 39 g of protein; and 13 g of carbs.  I think this gives me a balanced start to my eating.

Beneprotein can be bought from your pharmacy (made by Nestle), or purchased on-line through SIck Kids' Hospital's food store - who deliver at no cost.

Claire, if you like Beneprotein, you should consider Bio X Extreme Whey Protein Isolate (Natuarl) which is unflavoured like Beneprotein, but has a mucher bigger bang for your buck both in cost and protein!

I mix about 3-4 ounces of milk with a scoop of protien powder and stir it very well, then add about a third of it to my very hot coffee, and the rest to my follow up coffees.  You don't even taste it, as far as I'm concerned.

Hi Sandy

That is GREAT to know.   I find the flavoured powders way too sweet tasting for me now, but I really do rely on the Beneprotein for a big chunk of my day's needs.  It would be wonderful to have an alternative.  Where do you buy it?

Thanks for the feedback!

I buy it online at SND Canada.  Sorry for the late response, I just found that you had replied to me (along with many other emails) in my spam folder!

I start with a Premier Protein drink (chocolate) and blend in ice cubes a heaping teaspoon of instant decaf coffee and a squirt of NS carmel syrup. Delish,

I'm two weeks post op and the protein powder is the hardest for me to get in.  I didn't even like it in my coffee.  I've been trying to duplicate the optifast type of shake with coffee or cocoa but not having much success.

Great post.  I'll try some of these ideas.
