So I notice some of you have protein coffee in the morning.. is it just a cup of coffee with regular protein powder in it? if so what brand are you using?

Any coffee including instant will work,  and any brand or flavor of protein powder.  The thing is to make sure the coffee is not really hot when you mix it other wise the protein will chunk up.... gross.

I add a little luke warm water to the powder and mix well then add the hot coffee, once it is mixed you can nuke it to make it hotter if you like.  A hand mixer, blender or bullet can help too.

This time of year I like to make it with ice coffee, I mix the powder with ice cold left over coffee and a couple ice cubes.

I'm not fond of it warm at all but have tried it.  You have to make sure the coffee is more warm than hot and then you mix up the protein powder with a bit of milk or water to get the chunks out then incorporate into the warm coffee and mix well.  I tried it a few times but now I just use cold coffee, ice and protein powder when I want something similar.  I like my coffee black and hot so for me being warm and milky just wasn't a good mix.  The cold one to me is more like an ice cap so it works.

I wait til my cawfee is half done, then I pour my RTD protein shake into it.  It's yummy.

Really?!  I have to say, even though they're not the best amount of protein, that a vanilla Atkins shake mixed into cawfee is AWESOME.

I think it's because I equate coffee to being hot and black so warm and creamy forget it but ice cold and creamy is fine.

Ahhh... makes sense.

I bought an ice cube tray at Dollarama and I'm going to make my own iced cawfee here at work.  No idea why I didn't think of this before. LOL  Blonde moment(s).
