Heading to Cuba....

Happy birthday Lynette!

I just got back from the Dominican last Friday. I am 7 months out.  It was all inclusive buffet fare where I was and I stuck with fruits and what plain type meats I could find mostly.  Mornings were great because there was an omelet guy there and I would have high protein omelettes every morning.  A lot of times there were hard boiled eggs too at lunch so they were really helpful if I didn't like their meat choices.  I ended up broadening my horizons quite a bit as I've been really overly limiting myself, so this was good for me to find out what I can and can't eat.  There was always tons of cheese and sandwich meat, so no matter what the options were, there was always something for me  :)

The best part was fitting in the seats without an extender and being able to out-do my husband when going on excursions!  LOL

Have a blast  :)

I have travelled a few times since surgery and it's always been easy!

I've been to Cuba 3 times, but they were pre-surgery.  There is plenty of choices in the buffets and even in the restaurants.   If you love fish you will have not problems at all!  Breakfast there are smoothies available so you can always add protein powder to them and there is plenty of eggs.
Lunches and supper have fish, chicken, beef, lamb etc.  you won't be disappointed!  Just keep your water bottle with you and the bar tenders are more than happy to fill them up for you.

Enjoy yourself!  I am jealous, I really want to go back.  The Cubans are sooooooo friendly!!
