OT Bond Place Hotel Toronto

 I was online looking for a place to stay while at TWH Feb 17 and came across Bond Place it looks great and has great revues. It's right downtown by Eaton Centre and Dundas Square. It's $89+tx per night and $15 for parking. It sounds so much better then other places. It's right across the road from St. Mike's and a 6 minute car ride to TWH. We decided to stay 2 nights. You can actually book online for the hospital rate you don't have to spend time on hold on the phone waiting for a rate or booking. Just thought I would let people know.
Has anyone else stayed here?

 Never stayed there but my company sometimes rents meeting rooms there.  They have done upgrades over the last few years and it looks like a nice standard hotel.  Its on the verge of a "bad" part of town.  If you take Dundas St. further east, you end up near Sherbourne and the intersection of Dundas and Sherbourne is known for street level drug dealing.  

However, if you only go west of the hotel (towards Eaton Centre and beyond), you won't run into this part of town.  Don't worry, I live in downtown and I find it a very safe place, but that is why the hotel is probably slightly more affordable than some others of the same standard.

 Thanks Sandy. I don't mind that area at all that's one of the reasons we picked it. I love Dundas Square and Eaton Center area.  Oh I've been to the Sherbourne area so I know what you mean. lol. 

My sister and law and I stayed at the Bond hotel, many many years ago. I can't comment on what it is like now but we were very happy with our stay back then. Everything was kept up, the rooms were very clean and the service was great.

I've heard that the Bond Place Hotel is fine too.  A six minute car ride from TWH is pretty optimistic, though.  Maybe at 3 a.m.  :)
