A long timer's (almost 3 yrs) update

I really don't think Bio-Oil causes any miracles...but my gramma always said that the key to looking young was "moisturize, moisturize, moisturize".  Regular use of bio-oil would sure do that!

Great to see another of us "oldies, but goodies" hanging out here!

Hi Daydreamer and welcome back. . .I am so happy for your success and want to tell you not to be discouraged by our resident authority on all things.  If you believe bio-oil made a positive difference in your life more power to it. . .who cares what some article from Europe says.

How funny my daughter and I were just discussing what might be an appropriate way to highly moisturize during weight loss and bio oil was one thign we were talking about.

I understand the whole damaged skin may not neccessarily work thing but you know what my 73 year old mother uses original oil of olay daily and looks 10 years younger than she is, at least.  So moisturizing has got to be good for something and if it works on the face it has to work on other skin so I am game.

I will purchase and start using Bio oil with no expectation other than moist soft skin and if it helps with the sagging loose skin issue....BONUS!!!!

Thank You for your timely post.

...wow I use Bio-Oil and I am not sure I would say it SHRUNK any skin, it's more for scarring....skin can't be shrunk that much becaus ethe fat cells are still there..but hey if it performed that for you...who am I to say anything different.  for me it helped reduce my scars considerably.

It could very well be..considering your age and the elasticity of your skin that it is bouncing back rather well it also DEPENDS greatly on how many years you spent obese..the longer amount of time, the more difficult it would be to have any skin bounce back

thanks for the update and glad you are doing so well

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!

It may not have "shrunk" it but I have monthy pic's of the panni and you can see it get smaller. I think its cause the skin has so much mosture it helps alot. I was hugly obese for 5 yrs. Very over weight all my life. Is my skin flawless and perfect? Nope but its not that bad from where it was. I love Bio oil I think its good for the skin.
