ok so i have been told ..... no work out for another couple of weeks :(  but set some good goals and thought I would share them.  1. integrate formal exercise into my life at least 3 times a week
2. RUN!!! or at least be able to run for at least 20 minutes eventualy being able to run a 5k race.

 Hi Robin,
I just saw Jay today for the first time and he told me about this website.  I am presurgery by the way, but I found him very helpful and encouraging !!  He told me about this website and I came home and signed up right away...its so helpful to read things from other people going through the same thing !

hey FYI Jay joined the OH board lol he was asking me where I get my support from, I told him lots on here so he joined so he can offer some advice online as needed I saw he already chimed in on one post.

Robin, speaking as someone who's had those goals, i can tell you that you CAN DO THIS!!!


I did the "learn to run" program at the Running ROom, last august to october. I've got a goall right now to do a 5 k by the end of february, and a 10k at the end of April.

Last night, at my running group, i actually ran for three 10 minute intervals, and we did some "speed intervals", and i freaking kept up with the group!!!

It makes me feel sooooooooooooooo awesome!!

The leader of the group is so supportive, and so positive. I havent told her about my weight loss journey, about the surgery, this is a group of people who don't know my history, and i think i just want to be the "here and now" Monica, practice being that person for a while. (although i know that all Monicas i was before now are alllllllll part of me now!)

ohh yes will have to pull out my sports bras and see if any are any good still 43lbs down and the girls are changing
