 Hi Everyone,
I go for my Nutrition Class tomorrow at TWH and I'm making my list of questions. Are there any questions that you thought of after the class that you wish you should of asked about? If so let me know and I will ask them tomorrow.

Sometimes you just put one foot in front of the other, even if you don't know where you're going.

Hi Heidi,

After being on the Ontario Forum of OH, I found that I knew a lot already when I went to the class.  The class sort of confirmed stuff for me, so it was more of a session of deepening my understanding of the subject.

All the best tomorrow.

There was nothing at the meeting that I didn't already mow thanks to the forum.  I was more shocked at how little other people knew about the procedure.  Good luck tomorrow, and best of luck!

Thanks Cdngal. I think I'm going to be like you and Monica and others who knew everything they talked about because of doing thorough research and the forum. At my Orientation I was supprised then how little people knew. It was actually upsetting to see because it's such a big step in life.

I wish I had asked in the first place.

1-how important is ketosis in this process?  Should we be trying to limit our carbs to meet this?

2-(down the line after surgery) - when taking pills (either rx's or vitamins), should we be limiting the amount of fluid we take them with so the fluid doesn't push the pills out before they have a chance to melt/breakdown and absorb

3- for post op pain or illness, whether you have a tooth ache or a back ache or infection, should the medications or pain killers we take need to be increased due to the fact that we are not able to absorb it all?

These may be more appropriate for the 1 month post op class but these things did not occur to me prior to surgery

Safe Flight and Best of Luck!!
