3 week check up
well doing great, down almost 40lbs since start of optifast and feeling pretty good. have been told i should be getting in close to 1000 calories a day......... i said not even close as between protien drinks and what little soup i am having doesnt equal much but was okay cause i am getting in at least 60 g protien daily. Also another thing i found interesting is they are finding people who move too quickly or push the limits on food stages are more likely to have strictures as it irritates the openeings, makes sense i guess having the central registry is allowing them to compile data now and see some of the outcomes. Had blood work done and she will call if anything is out of wack. My blood pressure is now in the normal to low range and as of now will not need to go back on my blood pressure meds. So the only medication I need is my vitamins woo hoo. Also did measurements and am down lots of inches didn't write down the numbers but at least 10 inches off the waist.

Wow! Sounds like you are doing fantastic!!!!
I would say 1000 calories would be too much for you at this stage for sure, because when I am eating healthy and following the rules I am barely getting in 1000 calories per day.
It makes sense about the strictures. It is good that they are able to now get some stats at a central location and compare outcomes.
Congratulations on your success so far....much more to come!!!!
