ok so yesterday was the day! yes the day day that the Santas choice hamper arrived at my doorstep......... ohhh filled with shortbread, turtules, lady fingers too, gingerbread houses and chocolate oranges just to name a few.  OMG I wanted some!!!! lol what torture!!! made my husband make the gingerbread house with the kids for fear of wanting to lick my fingers as my daughter put it lol.  And yes that was my fear or sneaking a candy.  well i survived even cleaned up thier mess after and didn't have a bit.  Keep your eye on the prize, keep your eye on the prize as i rock myself huddled in a ball in the corner LOL Just over a week to go and I will be on my way to Hamilton for my surgury.  Have resolved that i like optifast straight up best the flavorings seem to not sit well with me so have shaker cup and will travel.  I have my optfast 8am 12, 5, and 10 with water.  I have very little lese besides additional water.  I have found that I am not hungry at all so when i do want something it is totally my head talking.  Well today starts my crazy weekend, holiday train rolls into town toningt, tomorrow includes 2 parties, a swim practice, and then our parade of lights and sunday has my girl doing a water show for synchro swimming.  All that being said I hope to be so busy none of the food at any of these events will bother me:)

I"ve thougth of doing the Santa's choice hamper a few times, only because i'm such a bad planner, and it seems like a nice way of getting xmas stuff into the house without thinking too much about it.

Just keep your eye on the prize, Robin, like you said. Focus on the social aspects of things, rather than the food, stand as far away from the food as you can. Smile, lots!

totally love it we get the summer pack too the cuts of meat are great fills our freezer twice a year without too much effort.  Love the contents of the packages and you can pick whatever suits your need now is the time to start paying for next year.  This year we only got a small one but i have to say the summer one was great for the bbq season.  I will continue to get them as i still have a family to feed and although i will likely be cooking different the staples you get in the hampers will go a long way.

there's a local organic farm that does similar packages for the summer, except with fresh veggies and meat.

Keep it up! You're doing so incredibly well. You'll be on the bench before you know it, and all of this will have been worth it.

I feel your pain Robin. I too got my Santas Choice Hamper on saturday. 9 big boxes of food. We use alot of the goodies for gifts...like the turtles, chocolate covered almonds and so on. And my husband put all the "bad stuff" in the top back kitchen cabinet and put other things in front. Dont forget, the more you say you cant have it the more you will want it. Its just about healthy choices. Have a Merry Christmas :)
