Do you eat nuts?

Most of the peanuts we eat in North America come from Georgia and they had the worst peanut crop in 30+ years this year, something like 85-90% of the crop was destroyed by bad weather. Apparently we should expect to see increases in the regular prices of raw peanuts, peanut butter and peanut products in general anywhere from 40-200% by the new year! My husband eats pb & j sandwiches for lunch almost everyday, so I went out and bought 10 of those big 2kg tubs of peanut butter in October to try to avoid the price hike!

I heard it will be 100% increase in January so I did the same.  My other half eats crunchy peanut butter every morning and I am not going to pay $12 a jar for his little habit.  LOL

Nuts and seeds are both wonderful and heart healthy. The key though is to measure. Small amounts only!

Almonds are my 'go to'.  I really like the ones at Cotsco.
I keep them in the freezer.

I'm a big fan of nuts! I like putting them in things. I love putting a couple chopped pecans in chocolate pudding or chopped walnuts in chicken salad. I love salted cashews but I don't like them as much since my surgery. I found some sugar-free chocolate covered almonds the other day. I haven't tried them yet but ohhhh, they sound yummy.
