Hi there
I am 7 weeks out and just wondering when I can stop crushing pills... I thought I had that information in my papers, but I cant seem to find it.

My paperwork (Ottawa) indicates that we can stop chewable multivitamins after 2-3 months.  Personally I will wait until 3 months.

I was told as soon as I felt comfortable I could switch over. I gradually changed from crushing pills, to cutting it in quarters with a pill splitter, to a half and then finally whole. I found it easier to swallow the pills whole because I gagged on the cut up pieces.

Hi - I just had my 1 month follow up, the dietation said to wait at least another 2 - 3 weeks before I stop my "chewable" vitamins.  Wait until my 3 month visit until I stop my chewable calcium...

Hope that helps.......

I have reached my goal weight ..... and LOVE my RNY !!!!!!!!!

I had surgery 09/29/2011 and had my 6 week follow up and was told I can just swallow my pills now so I no longer cut or crush them and have no issues.
