The final testing you do at your hospital a few weeks before after surgery.
They may do ultrasounds, ekgs etc. as one final check up before you have surgery to make sure all is well.

HERE we used to call it PATS too - not sure when it changed. I don't remember any "teaching" either. LOL

PATTS is is your pre-op appt at the hospital.....every hospital varies. I had my surgery at Humber and for my PATTS appt I had blood work, chest x-ray, spoke with the nurse, spoke with the anesesiologist, and had an EKG. This occured 2 weeks before my surgery.
